BONHATA is the Bonaire Hotel and Tourism Association, founded in 1980 and recognised by the island government and the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association as the official voice of tourism on Bonaire. Its members include resorts, dive operators, car rentals, restaurants and other businesses that keep visitors arriving and staying.
An association site has to serve two audiences at once. We designed a member-focused website where hotels and partners can find news, browse the directory, apply for membership and share job openings, while visitors still get a clear picture of who BONHATA is.
From the public homepage to members-only resources, the structure is straightforward and the look matches the organisation: two blues, plenty of white space and a fully responsive design for phones as well as office desktops.
Tourism businesses on Bonaire need a place that feels official without being slow or cluttered. The site opens with who BONHATA is, a path into the members directory and a clear invitation to join — one unified voice for more than a hundred companies. News sits on the homepage so sector updates are not buried in a PDF. That mix of public information and member tools is typical of the website design Bonaire associations ask for when they represent a whole industry.
Behind the public pages, members can log in for business resources, while job opportunities give the wider community a way in. About Us explains advocacy, committees and the board, so the association is not only a logo on a hotel wall. Contact details, a membership form and news articles keep the site useful between events.
The result is a website design on Bonaire that treats BONHATA as what it is: the official hotel and tourism association, not a brochure for a single resort. For k-Dushi, this project shows how local website design Bonaire can give a long-standing island organisation a home that members, government partners and the press can all use.
